PlanningWhen creating my work I always know that I want it to look simple and clean, I like to start off my having a full understanding of my inspiration I do this by researching and creating lists, mind maps and simple sketches on a page so I know how I want to get started along with swatches of media I intend to use.
ProcessOnce knowing how exactly I how I want my piece to look I create lines from the middle of the page so I have the right proportions. I use a light pencil and begin to sketch whether in a sketchbook or on my iPad. Once my sketches are complete I will start to add detail with a black fine liner.
OutcomeI always see room for improvement with my outcomes, but nether the less I am proud of my illustrations. In all my pieces I like to see unity and a like-able style throughout. Especially with the patterns I use to achieve my high quality detail, whilst it still looking simple, clean with nice lines and shapes.
